Things have been going good. Lynn took her first trip this past weekend. We made the long journey to Michigan. We were going out there to see my grandma because she has been really sick, but unforuntetly we didn't make it in time to see her. We were leaving Friday and she past away that morning. It really sucks, because it was the same way with my grandma gerry. But as much as I wanted to see her and for her to see Lynn, it is better then her suffering. We left Rome about 2 o'clock Friday and only had to stop a few times for Lynn. She did very well. The only times she cried was when she got hungry. She slept all through New York, only to stop once to eat and get changed. Then she was awake and very happy in the backseat all the way through Canada. We didn't have to stop at all in Canada (at least not for her...I needed a bathroom stop). Then she was back asleep through Michigan. We stopped once we got into Michigan to eat, but she did not get up at all until we got into West Branch. It took us a total of about 11 hours, which I suppose is not to bad considering we had a 3 month old baby. On the way back it was much faster. It only took 9 hours, but she slept pretty much the whole time. We never had to stop for her to eat, she ate usually when we stopped. She did get cranky once, but I fed her in the car since we were going to be stopping anyways shortly after so I could burp her.
The trip itself was great. We stayed at my mom's on Friday night since we got in so late. We stayed up for an hour or so and chatted and then it was bed time. Lynn however did not want to sleep right away since she had been sleeping for the majority of the ride. But she layed down and just played in her bassinet. Then Saturday was mostly just hanging out with the family. We had Bryan and Sean which was great. We hung out at the house most of the afternoon. Then we headed to the Super 8 hotel that my mom had gotten us a room in for Saturday and Sunday. We swam a little bit (stupid me forgot Lynn and mine's bathsuits), but we managed. Lynn went in her diaper and I went in some of Jon's shorts and a top. My mom had Lynn the whole time, while Jon and I played monkey in the middle with the boys, and some volleyball. That evening we played games and we discovered that Lynn really likes football (thanks mom). Then it was bed time. Sunday was pretty much the same thing. Except no games this time. We went to breakfast with my parents. Then that night my parents made me my favorite meal...steak and french fries :) yum. Then Monday we went to Ponderosa for lunch and headed out about 4.
I think Lynn is happy to be home sleeping in her own crib. She was very excited to see Tango, and boy oh boy Tango was happy to see her. Things are pretty quiet here. Jon is in school for a few hours each day, and me and Lynn hang out and play, and do things around the house all day. I have a test tomorrow for a keyboard specialist job with the state...I really hope I get it.
Well now that I wrote you a novel...I will get to the pictures. I will do a quick update with Lynn's weight when we get back from WIC
